You don't need the bbcode from imgur.
On my phone I just choose "Share Direct Link", "Copy to Clipboard", then click the IMG button on here and "Paste" the clipboard contents (overwriting the STW-supplied http: bit).

I don't use the app as it's crap. Just use the website then you get the code.
The app is not too bad, just not very intuitive. When you upload the pic, select 'only me', rather than 'public' and it won't upload to a gallery.

Then press the share button and hit copy link. Or whatever it is on Android.
The problem is imgur are trying to become a social platform, rather than an image hosting service like they started out as. Which is understandable, as money needs to be made.
