It'll soon wear off when you realise day in day out it's the same shite regurgitated over and over, with the same people gobbing off on the same monotonous subjects.

Best thing to do then is go away for a year or 2, then come back until you realise the reason why you left was the above, repeat to fade.

It's not actually your post count, it also includes other people mentioning your name. So if you have a 10 page blazing row with TJ say, it bumps the numbers up.

And so: 'TandemJeremy +singletrackworld' yields 14900.

I waste so much time on forums, just because I have nothing better to do with my time when the weather's shit. That's my justification for the addiction.

4800 for me. Though "Cougar" also appears to be variously some sort of cross bike (whatever that means), a child's buggy, or a middle aged woman aggressively looking for a toy boy.

Aha. Searching for "username - member" (with the quotes) instead of username will give you a post count.

"Cougar - Member" site:www.singletrackworld.com

- 1550 for me.

Don't those counts exclude posts on 'the old site'?

I've been around here for years, but seem to spend considerably more time reading than posting.

Crikey Elf, I thought I was on here a lot! You're 4 times more productive than me and I've been on here longer!

I'm not sure if 'chapeau' is appropriate or not.

I don't buy that method at all - gives me only about 170 when in fact I have just over 360 posts (nearly 9 pages of forum activity at 40 threads per page and more than one post on some threads)

On the other hand I do have nearly 14,000 posts on a snow related forum and a couple of thousand of others scattered elsewhere 😳

So the OP is indeed a lightweight 😆

I was a delivery driver for the day. With Andy (lovely, 56, two daughters, one's a nurse, one's at uni). we drove around delivering parcels, had lunch overlooking a little wood. It's what I want to do when I'm grown up I've decided.

I worked as a delivery driver for a year. Best job I ever had, always finished by 2pm. Occasionally got to take young interns off into the woods too.
