Yeah but how much money would you have to have to think that it was a luxury worth paying for? Many of us could afford it but our lives would be impacted to a greater degree than is perhaps sensible.

And isn't Bransen the chap who came up with a prize for anyone who could find a way of reducing carbon footprints? Firing rich people into space isn't going to do it for sure.

Funny, I saw that on BBC breakfast this morning. They showed a computer demo of the trip. Looks rubbish. Like a long coach trip but with more boring scenery.
It was followed by a story about the global warming summit.

Wasn't there a competition with a $10M prize to get something into space and back (intact obviously), the winning team was from america and spent $20M...
I'd do it if I was rich.
I'd go to Mars if I had a 90% change of surviving the trip there and back.
