Tamborra has a shorter return period that the Yellowstone supervolcano. Smaller scale events are more likely and have shorter return periods than the 'big ones'. That said it doesn't take too much sulphur dioxide to start a global cooling aerosol, and often you don't get just one thing going wrong at a time, but a cluster of events, as seen in the japanese earthquake/tsunami/meltdown.
