If every party had a candidate in the new constituency of STW, which party would get to represent us in Parliament?

A vote is private, so you don't have to take part (obviously). If you're happy to put your vote up here, we could see what the views of the STW electorate are. 🙂

No lengthy debate, just your vote, and a running total between now and the close of the real polls.

I'll start:

Labour

Totals:
Labour 1
Conservative 0
Lib Dems 0
Green 0
UKIP 0
BNP 0
Respect 0

zokes: Because we argue simply for the sake of it. Because we are a bunch of opinionated keyboard warriors. Because people who think it's reasonable to spend four grand on a pushbike have a 'different' set of priorities. Need I go on? IMO, of course.

Why because they don't agree with your views?
Are you that sure that you are correct about EVERYTHING?
They'd probably think the same about STW to be fair.

Sounds like we'd all make good MPs ourselves then. We'd also be able to fund our bikes through transport expenses...

what's quite amusing is that when I stumbled across this forum I got the distinct impression that it was a hornets nest of Toryboys..
In fact I even discussed with my mates the possibility that I had unearthed a secret society of militant young conservatives masquerading as MTB enthusiasts..
who woulda thought it was a lib-dem stronghold..?

(apologies to all the genuine MTB enthusiasts that use the forum.. I have now come to understand that it's just the Tories that make the loudest commotion)

Just like in The Real World, where their voice in running the country is disproportionate to their support base.

Not a hope in hell of anyone ousting the local Tory, but if my .0000002%(?) of the popular vote helps reform our outdated electoral system then I can feel it counted for something.

Unfortunately though, unless around 10000 local [s]sheep[/s] Labour voters don't up today to give their support to the party name that they always have done, I will be represented by a Labour MP as I have been wherever I have lived....

Really? As they need more votes per seat than Labour I'd say thay Labour have a disproportionate voice.

Both of them do. But, something like 60% of the public identify themselves as having left/centre views, yet the Tories keep yo-yoing back into power.

Just to be clear. You do all know that this isn't the ACTUAL VOTE don't you?

I hope there's no one here (well very few anyway) who haven't actually voted in real life.

And for that matter, what about the rest of you? Come on, get a move on - the polls close at 10 p.m.
