After another odd hailstorm , I thought the road was a bit slippy, as it cleared away, I realised that it wasn't the riding on ball bearings feeling from the hail, it was actually ice in the car tracks.
Where was this? On the A1 going from the Metrocentre up to Fawdon. Not a back country lane. I watched a few cars being caught out and sliding into the snow bank before getting it together.
Be extra careful out there tonight if that is the state of a dual carriage way at 14:00

I fell on my ar$e twice this morning - that was before I made it out of our road. I'm hoping the ride home will be less eventful!
