I had the exact same thought, they just got the name wrong, missed out, sheds, woodburners and 'what tyres for...'

That's nice for them.

Must have been a slow news day.

Expecting a bit of a hard time to be honest.

I'm a parent but I don't like football, it's no more suitable for ME than Mumsnet.
The Dad Network has been about for a few years so it's hardly a first.

Needs a more catchy name, think 'Dadslife' may work better.

I tend to look at http://www.moderndaydads.com/ from time to time, and Rad Dad used to be good

Football......not interested, Music.......we'll see

Might be a bit flash in the pan, but if Mumsnet can do it why can't dads?

Because they're all at work?

Because dads tend to identify primarily with their interests, or employment rather than by their status as a parent.

Hence why they tend to hang out on places like here or pistonheads rather than dedicated Dads sites.

They also don't have to go through pregnancy, which is when most net mum's I know started frequenting Mumsnet and it's ilk

I take it back, i've had a wander round the site and it's not for me, I'm the wrong demographic.

I'll stick with Pistonheads

Unoriginal start-up manages to get a free plug from the Beeb is the real story

Mumsnet started off as a parenting site, but grew organically into a huge online community with people chatting about all sorts.

Just like STW started off about MTBing, but... yadda yadda yadda.

Isn't Reddit where the cool kids hang these days anyway?

Doesn't seem to affect posting on STW.

Presumably there are lots of people on mumsnet who don't do any mumming?

Ain't that the truth, but evey forum I've even been involved with is busiest between 9-5 m-f.

Even Pistonheads which is a laugh, the social media hating, 25 hour workday high achieving, multiple directorship holding den of arseholes kept busy by the 15k posts and counting angry impotent middle aged men chatting away on social media all day in the office.
