I do wonder whether this common practice on traveller sites. I do know that a local site to me is a no-go zone for the Police, where prostitution, drugs and gun possession are prevalent, so slavery could easily be happening too.
Why should we be tolerant of thug gangs?
I hear Romanian gangs are giving up caravans and are now taking over people's houses. This is such a massive problem now that the law is going to change, making squatting illegal - ABOUT BLOODY TIME TOO!
It's also time that these so called minority groups were kicked into touch so that they pay their way and abide by the laws of the land. There is nothing unjust about that.
In my view, they are not vulnerable minorities trying to protect their way of life, but are a bunch of organized violent criminal gangs who run roughshod over the law and everyone around them.
The crux of this issue are the double standards of the authorities, where a small element of society are permitted to act with impunity and at other people's expense. A great injustice to normal folk!
So let's hope some brave politician grows a pair and deals with this enduring issue. Don't hold your breath however - they are too scared of being branded racist by the lunatic liberal left wingers who defend just about anything that goes against a normal person's sense of fair play and common justice.

Why did you chose this one? Why not, for example, the truck bomb in Afghanistan, or the shooting and kidnapping of a British couple in Kenya?

Bad example that, if you have a flea/bed bug infestation you might as well burn down your house if you cannot eradicate the problem. I had some sort of mite infestation and I felt like torching the house put it this way. Bear in mind, serious flea infestation might also bring back the black death.
