I think the jury should have been found guilty. Worst case of phoning in a stereotype performance I've heard in ages

My sister has just served on the jury for two different abuse cases* and speaking to her, those sterotypes weren't far from the truth (unfortunately).

I think this Archers storyline has been gripping stuff and i had a big sigh of relief when the verdict was handed down. Now for the custody hearing 😯

*The first one was unpleasant enough that i hoped they'd release her from service, but she was called back in for another domestic abuse case. She had a pretty grim fortnight

Yes I'm certain that kind of ignorant dogma is prevalent. It was the hackneyed performances that got to us. An old theatre saying: if the cast are really enjoying themselves the audience probably isn't.

Didn't enjoy the hour long "special" too much.

Last night was excellent!

Pat putting the boot into Rob was great!

Agreed. The jury hour wasn't great. The doorstep desperation last night was excellent

I just hope they don't flog a dead horse now, they did well with the Grundy boys love triangle. Leave it bubbling under the surface for a couple of years.

Ok my predictions were wildly inaccurate 😆

So what now for Tichener? Will he keep the job? Ursula Pat rematch ?

Are Tom and Kirsty doomed?

Can't believe I have been sucked back into Ambridge 😆

The Archers do like slow burn plots so maybe he'll hang round like a bad smell for 15 years and then when Henry and his son have grown up and try and regain control of them.

Thank God thats all over at last (or is it???). Next step is Rob being charged with rape then he goes on to kidnap Helen and Jack and then shooting himself during a Police siege.

Slow burn plots you say? Well I think I mentioned months ago that Eddie bodged a log burner into Lynda's summer house thing. CO alarm? I suspect not.

It seemed to be a bit smokey so I'm waiting for the first sign of cooler weather and an unresponsive Snell cliffhanger.

Did Ursula swop the chutney jars?

Is there nothing this woman won't stoop to?

Sharp word in the pavilion before the Darrington friendly.

Rob being given a more than usually chilly shoulder by everyone. How long until he snaps?

You might be right, but from the omnibus earlier (Was away last week) and today's episode, Rob is clearly going off the rails.

Heavy drinking at the Bull, then the creepy/scary corridor conversation (Shame Jazzer didn't hoof him in the slats) and the frankly loony appearance at the cricket.....it's going to go wrong! Seriously wrong!

I'm wondering just how he'll go off the rails. I can see some kind of highly dramatic Christmas episode, where he goes out with a bang etc... or maybe even bonfire night, given the rate of descent.

Susan refusing to serve him in the shop.

Kicked off the cricket team.

I predict Rob meltdown coming soon.

Was it about the blocked drains / floods?

Or the dead dog in the food store?

Or something else?

Rob kills Stefan?
Rob kidnaps Henwee and Jack and absconded?
Rob slips away to Minnesota, to return at a later date?
Lillian hoofs him in the slats?

Helen's right to be worried. Rob's setting up a bivy on Hayden Barrow to spy on the village and will swoop like an eagle to snatch Henry and Jack. Only thing that will frighten him away is being chased by Tracy the man eater.

It certainly seemed a bit tame, compared to the melodrama of recent years. But Sean O'Connor (editor) has returned to the mean streets of EastEnders, so perhaps we're back to worrying about the weather, and the price of milk.

HE'S ALIVE!

Now....what money on Ursula being the one who stops his evil deeds?

She sounded on the edge of it all, and her husband is/was equally vile as her son. So, perhaps she will have an epiphany and save the day.

Tone of conversation with Henry sounded like he wasn't going to snatch him, but it did look like he had something in store for Helen.

Ursula is a good call for intervention Flashy but she won't turn him in as she wants him to be desperately and ingratiatingly grateful to her.
