I knew of bumpf and codswallop, maybe it's a class thing 😉 although the BBC has just called me a Precariat.

I just looked up the last one 😀 I know a few people who I'm going to call a blatherskite next time I see them

blath·er·skite
/?blaT?H?r?sk?t/
Noun
A person who talks at great length without making much sense.
Foolish talk; nonsense: "politicians get away all the time with their blatherskite".

There are a fair few on here that fit that description, I'm probably one of them.

I love the fact that 'bumpf' is a contraction of 'bum fodder' and originally used to describe printed material that's only fit for wiping.

blatherskite

Hence to blether. Or to be a blithering idiot.

You'll like Poppycock, then 😉
