Not every day, but along the theme of racing, running whatever and doing well before getting sent off in the wrong direction.
Guess what?
Had a road race today, I was in the chasing group, it was snowing, and the marshal at a left turn was absent.
The lanes of Greens Norton are quite nice this time of year 😡

😡 indeed! Were the rest of the group lost too then? If so, hopefully a couple of 'sense of humour malfunctions' to add unexpected value to the day?

I really hope my recurring dream comes true. In it I can manual for miles effortlessly, and do 180 degree flip round stoppies. If only.

Race HQ was in Towcester at the A5 Rangers club room. The race start was a 20 minute ride away at the top of the hill on Banbury Lane/Road?

We had a few riders pack, then a rider had a full blowout all in front of me. That caused the gap. The tail race car went past, but we went into TTT mode and were bridging the gap. The finish hill had a strong headwind and the race was sitting up on it, so we knew with work we'd catch the slowing bunch. It was left turn into the hill where the marshal was missing.
I assume the marshal saw the car and retired to his for a break.
