I thought you were pitying us for being obsessed with cars and arguing to the death about any topic vaguely to do with the environment...?

Unless she teaches them all in your bedroom, not really that great 🙂

She [s]spent[/s]wasted a load of money on an expensive watch? Expensive watch = small willy so I guess she knows her hubby.

Boardin Bob, I love all her routines but my favourite has to be the one she does with the spatula, the coal skuttle and the goat. I'm genuinely amazed that the goat will stand still that long! ;0)

For my upcoming 30th my wife is taking me to Champery to watch the World Cup DH....and keeps asking how much a Mavic Crossmax SX wheelset is? and last night wanted to know more about the Cane Creek Double Barrel shock!

....so fingers crossed.

TJ are you saying his wife has a small willy?

Or is it just the normal oracle/deity style comment?

Jeeeessuzszszs what a load of ad hominem bollocks - I credited you with some intelligence. Is it only bikes that can be a complete waste of money round here?

I think I might be one of the best wifes in the world - I bled the brakes on my husbands bike at lunchtime.
Or maybe he just *thinks* I did...
<evil laugh whilst checking out the life insurance policy>

He only loves me for my toolkit....

Oh, right you are - same for motorbikes.

Its more fanciness than size - same as cars tho - big fancy motorbike / car = small willy. Why do you think you get roadraged by 4 wd drivers ? thats why I had a rather dull series of BMWs - not the racy sporty type of thing.

TJ, really?

I drive a noisy 2-seater sports car, quite like shopping for watches, and the GF's ex was once in a porn film,

Life must be hell for me, every night must be like throwing a cocktail sausage down the motorway.

Grow up!

I'm sensing a lot of jealousy TJ, a lot of jealousy.

In your "sweeping generalisations" approach to life where does "a rather dull series of BMWs" pitch you?

Lol @ TN

Hubby has often come home and the bikes have been washed and the punctures (new innertubes put in) sorted. Need to learn to bleed brakes though.
The joys of being a part timer.

im urrently compiling a list of the 100 essential attributes she woudl require, then ill see how my missus compares
anything she fails on ill give her 1 week to shape up or its over

and ill go looking for the right one*

One thing I am not is jealous. My dull series of BMWs (motorcycles)means I am not interested in status / apearance at all but in capabilities and usefulness. Great intercity blasters

Sorry, but I think it's a nice gift. Omega watches are the most understated of all the premium watches and I'd be thrilled if my wife bought me one.

I appreciate quality craftsmanship in lots of things....besides, It's something you'd hand down to kids init?

...wouldn't shout about it on here though 😉

Apart from being maybe slightly more accurate, what's the advantage in an expensive watch? Genuine question? Is it just about having the right "name"? Personally I never wear a watch as there seem to be clocks everywhere these days.

much like tescos value beans are the most underrated of all premium beans..... why when it comes to food stuffs does premium mean shit?

what's the advantage in an expensive watch?

what's the advantage in having an expensive car?

I like nice watches Seamaster for me as well as a few others, Cars well not really bought a flash one but fancy a decent Audi next as i drive to France evey month and see a big car as practical for that plus i earn my money so i defend the right to spend it how i like on what i lie, as for a small Co@k ? i would not fancy it rammed up my Khyber Pass. 😉

To the OP enjoy your watch.

She should of got you a G-Shock.

Jase, I certainly am of a certain age. I've always admired the Seamaster but when the kids were younger and the mortgage much bigger there was no chance but now that there is a little more money floating around Bianchi Towers we have decided to buy one or two treats for each other. You can't take it with you.

Daffy, I have a son that I would love to be able to gift it to one day.

confess I don't get expensive watches, other than for looks. No one will convince me they can appreciate the mechanism, it's just BS

Mine is best - she cooks me dinner, bakes cakes a couple of times a week, brings cold beer, wears "interesting" underwear. Oh, she's just told me to look for a new bike if I want one.
