I've laid a patio!

Those that are familiar with my needy DIY threads will realise this is a big deal for me. It is constructed with a mixture of years of general advice from here and pavingexpert. It feels immensely satisfying ๐Ÿ™‚

The flags were free from an STWer and the blocks were also free from a colleague.

Yesterday:

Start hacking away at the raised beds that I only built 5 months ago!

Bed hacked and some bodging to create a min-bed and keep the clematis alive.

Big ol' hole

Fill

[IMG] [/IMG]

Whack

[IMG] [/IMG]

Relax

Today:

I appear to have arsed up the sand requirement though, (although I think Mone Bros delivered WAY more than a tonne), so if any STWer wants some for free near Leeds, please just drop me an email.

When's the new GF move in?

When he's finished burning all the stuff that the other one wasn't buried with.

Nice work BTW.

That looks a decent job. Well done, take a bow and open a beer. Next job....building a sand pit by the looks of it.

Make sure you cover it up, otherwise you'll have created the regions #1 cat piss stop.

You have to build the biggest sand castle ever on the new patio!

Cheers all; it's still there in the same shape this morning too!

My body feels a bit broken though.
