In a strict muslim country why have they got a Christmas tree?
This being the same country that doesn't allow alcohol at all or kissing in public.
Why? A "Christmas tree" has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity.
its now a predominantley Christian celebration. Birth of Christ and all. I know the tree is a symbol of paganism but Christmas isn't (now) and to me the tree is part of Christmas.

Not sure about kissing in public, but alcohol is allowed.

Hypocritical isn't it?
To you maybe.
Even the time of year is nowt to do with Christ. This is the pagan midwinter festival as hiujacked by a bunch of christians
Holly and Ivy etc - all pagan
If you can find a bit in the Bible where little baby Jesus mentions anything about a nice northern european tree then I am sure that the hotel will take their tree down.
