Picked up a hero yesterday and still getting to grips with it. (although loving it)

Does anyone know how to get flash working? A press release in June states it comes as standard but it doesn't work on mine.

Do i need to download something additional?

Also is there an easier way to edit multiple contacts? I've imported a load from my SIM and they've all come up with "Bloggs, Joe/4" style.

Surely there's a way of editing everything on your PC and exporting it back to the phone?

Edit the synced copy of the contacts on the Google mail.

Before you go too far make sure it's got the latest ROM
New ROM makes a big big difference from the first few versions

Flash works on mine as far as I remember no special fiddles
firmware 1.5

I had a New Magic from Vodafone 3wks ago so you would have thought it would have come with the latest software (wrong)...

Not sure if it works on a Hero but on the Magic you type in i think *#*#2432546#*#* you should then get a notification saying update successfull, you then goto settings-about phone-system update and if you have an update due it should be downloading, like i said this is for a magic don't know if it will work on a Hero too, if not have a look on the XDA forums lots of usefull info there...

After a bit of digging around it appears the flash player on the htc hero identifies itself as "AFL 9,1,122,0" (adobe flash light) which breaks a lot of flash detection scripts?!

Yeah the implementation of Flash, whilst better than most/all? other mobile phones, isn't 100% and you do get some sites where it can't cope.
