Anyone know of any good deals for a HTC Desire on contract??
t-mobile have deals - but it's new to market so I wouldn't expect too many bargains!
I got an HTC HD 2 phone for free, last month, 500 mins, 500 texts and unlimited internet (with option to change them around if you can be arsed) £25pm, 2 yrs with T-Mobile.
I'm loving it. Got my OS mapping on it too. Smashing.
As it's bit unloved and not an iPhone they seems to be few deals.
Bargains are starting to come through.
T-mobile price just went up so now not the cheapest.
www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk £25/month over 18months is the cheapest. £0 for the phone (£450 total).
Also www.buymobilephones.net is advertising the cheapest deal at the moment but not in stock yet. Also relies on cash back.
£0 for 4 months. £30 for 14 months. (£420 total). You can also get £25 cashback if you purchase through quidco.
Am so tempted to get one and finding it hard to resist. Sense would say wait for the iphone 4th gen and see whether i change my mind and if the HTC prices drop. June seems so far away though...
edit: all out of stock now till 10th May. Worth keeping an eye out though on www.moneysupermarket.com.`
edit 2: Obviously cheaper per month on 24 month contract but usually cheaper overall if go on to sim only tariff after 18 months
Mine just arrived...I'm forcing myself to leave it alone to charge as I've got plenty of time to play with it later 🙂
mobilephonesdirect.co.uk were a little cheaper than T-Mobile, but I wanted a cheapish monthly tariff with unlimited data, the cheaper deals on the above website didn't all come with unlimited data, or they neglected to mention it. They also didn't seem to include the flexible booster aspect, I guess most of the tariffs had already used this in the unlimited data part.
I paid £129 + £15 for 24 months, looking at the website that has just gone up to £191 upfront. They also removed their £10 per month plan, I expect the upfront phone price is now uncompetitive, it was £160ish so with the price rise would have increased to £220ish.
With the price rise I expect the prices are now very similar to Orange.
Well...I managed to leave it for about 90 minutes! It's fantastic, can write gibberish on the keyboard and it still works out what I wanted to say!
Had mine a couple of weeks so far & am well impressed - battery life seems to be improving now i've charged it a few times.
Got mine on T-Mobile.
Spooky - I agree the "intelligent keyboard is pretty good!
The best deal from the links above appears to be Orange through Phones4u and quidco.
If I go for this deal will I be able to transfer my existing number from o2?
Ta
I think you can always transfer your number.
Phones4u have just said over the phone 300mins and unlimited internet...
.....and a free phone? How much is the contract/month & is that price reliant on cashback or any other stuff that you'll forget to send off?
Mine was from T-Mobile:
-300 Mins
-300 texts
-Unlimited* Internet
-Flex Booster changeable every 30 days if required - I've currently got it set to 90mins calls to Europe & Australia at the mo'.
-Phone cost £129
-Tariff is £15/month for 24months.
-Total of £489 over two years.
They do the same deal for £20/month and you pay less for the phone, but it works out more over the course of the contract.
