When using the camera it sometimes just crashes and required a battery out restart. Anyone experienced anything similar and found a solution?
Had mine several months now and never a problem. Are you using the in-built camera app?
Did it start happening after a recent downloaded app? I can't remember what it was, but I had a problem with my Desire crashing. I ended up removing some of the recently loaded apps (that I wasn't really using anyway) and it solved the problem.
Yep, default app. It's actually a friend's desire. Mind's working fine.
Duff app sounds like a possibility.
Just a thought, what about knackered / full memory card?
it has a 2 year warranty with htc. if i was you i would send it back at the slightest doubt.

What version of Android are you running? I'd make sure you have 2.2 and if that doesn't make a difference, try a factory reset (back it up first) before sending it back.
