[Closed] HP laptops!!!!!!

Nearly 2 months ago I bought a reasonably expensive, good spec HP laptop. Since day one it's done some weird things but when I replaced my old router and got a new one the thing refused to work. All our other devices, xBox 360's, iPod Touches, normal pc and other laptop all worked fine from the instant they connected to the new router. So I contacted HP Tech Support who after 3 very long phone calls decided to collect it and repair it.
So when it arrived back I thought here goes and guess what - it wouldn't even turn on! I rang them immediately and was told I was being sent the Operating System discs to get it up and running plus given the obligatory case number. Days passed, no discs so I rang up to be told the case was closed as they had 2 address and didn't know which one to send the discs to - guess what - both my home address!!!! Very angry and very mad I was told I would be sent them again, so another 8 to 10 working days and I would receive them plus another new case number.
At this point I contacted HP Customer Service and complained - very angrily and said I wanted compensation for this debacle. I was asked to wait until the discs arrived and we'd been through it all again with Tech Support and see where we stand then. I agreed and so yesterday the discs arrived. To hopefully cure it an engineer came out and the discs were installed and guess what - no you beat me too it - IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!! And that's even with replacing more bits and it's DEFINITELY not the router because the engineers laptop connected instantly! I told him and the guy on the phone I want the thing replacing as it's not fit for use and I intend contacting Trading Standards and getting them involved. They are sending another enginner, more bits and hopefully a new laptop this Friday now. I can't believe how ridiculous all of this is and how much it's cost them and me in phone calls. I've been told I can claim which I fully intend doing as I'm totally and utterly fed up with it. Rant over - I guess 4 out of 10 lol
