Morning All

I haven't owned a TV for a number of years now but have just been given a 24" non smart flat screen. Watching series and movies on this would a welcome change of pace to my 15" laptop screen but I have no idea how to do this. Ideally I would like it to wireless and simple (read idiot proof) so I can 'cast'(?) Netflix of Amazon Prime from laptop to TV and also series and movies that I already have on my laptop.
So where do I start and what do I need?
The TV has a HDMI input as does the laptop but would like to avoid having to use a cable.

TIA 🙂

There are "Wireless HDMI Transmitter & Receiver" bundles you can get but I expect it would be cheaper just to get an Amazon Firestick given you have Prime. These will do Netflix, Youtube, iPlayer, etc as well so pretty versatile and just plug into the HDMI input on the TV. They need USB power as well so you'd want a spare mains socket nearby.

Just get a cheap Roku stick. It'll play your movies using your laptop as a server and if you're watching Netflix or Prime it'll do that on its own without your laptop being involved.
IMO whether you're going to get a better experience from an old 24" TV vs a 15" laptop is questionable unless you'll have it very close to you.

Chromecast Ultra and use Chrome as your browser, which has native support for chromecast.
