I found some really kewl aero shaped sunglasses in TK Max for £12.99. Took them home and popped out the lenses then got a neighbour who is an optician to glaze them with the cheapest possible plastic lenses to my prescription for £50.

The vison is nothing like as clear as with my expensive daily specs with super duper lenses but they do the job of keeping rain, dust and wind out of my eyes for evening and night rides while being cheap enough not to matter if they get smashed. As I'm a bike tart I'd quite like to tint them pale yellow, even if only temporarily. I understand that the tint is applied permanently by immersing the lenses in a dye bath but short of painting them with a Stabilo Boss pen, can anybody think of a way of doing this? I'd prefer the tint to be removable.

You used to be able to buy a pot of orange paint from car accessory shops for painting your healights when you went abroad.
