[Closed] How long for antifreeze to drain off plastic engine tray ?

Seems to be taking an age ! not loads anymore odd drip got some trays under the car overnight

Had a leaking temp sensor changed today so I guess a bit of coolent leaked out when they changed it over...

...no leak from the sensor now...unless its sprung a leak somewhere else ๐Ÿ™

Antifreeze (ethylene glycol) is poisonous, and some animals (cats & dogs) are attracted to it and drink it because of the sweet taste. If they get enough they will die.

But it is water soluable and degrades rather quickly in the environment. So recycle large quantities, but use water to dilute the heck out of and wash away any that spills and there won't be a problem

Propylene glycol is a lot less poisonous.

Any chance of it sitting on the drive, hose it out of the engine bay and wash it away.

Plenty have left it in an open tub and inadvertently killed neighbours and their own pets.
