The wife has somehow managed to get the kids' bedroom Velux stuck in the cleaning position, and of course it's about to start belting down. I'm 3500 miles away so not really in a position to help. Anyone got any ideas?

Couple off locking sliders down at the end prevent it swinging back. Undo those

You just spin it back round if it’s like ours

Stick an umbrella through. Open it. Put kettle on

Whatever you do, don't open it inside. That is considered bad luck

Barrel bolt sliding to the right side apparently.

New one to me. Not that it helps me. My VELUX are 8 and 15ft up. Its easier to clean them standing on the roof.

Cheers all, looks like this is what sorted it. My children shall be dry tonight 😁
