Being blond(ish) with thin hair means that my facial coverage is patchy. Not bad in places, a few spindly threads in others.

Is there a way I can nurture it like a lawn so that I too can have a fleeting moment of hipster cred.

When all you can do is bumfluff, clean shaven is always a good look

Aye, just accept your lot. I'd like to have hair, but it's no happening so I keep it trim, the beard is second best.

Buy some clippers and keep trimming it back one grade at a time until it looks a bit more even, then let it grow, clip it back one grade longer, etc.

My beards actually quite patchy and slow growing but as long as it's kept evenly clipped it looks pretty good after a couple of months.

Didn't (doesn't?) Thor have a luxuriant beard, though?
