Go on then, hit me with your best.
The kids have polluted the air in the house again and I've got the lurgy for the second time in a month. It probably didn't help almost breaking myself the other night on my bike (went out too fast and suffered on the way back)
For once I don't feel like neat single malt.
Cheers
Tim

Lemon, blended whisky, brown sugar, honey - in whatever quantities you prefer the taste of.

I always make large mugs and have a few. Any excuse 😀

Cheap blended Bells Crap
Lemon,
Lime,
Cinnamon,
Nutmeg,
Hot water,
Assam Tea,
Teeny bit of sea salt
One smashed to bits coffee bean.

You need at least 3 fingers of Bells Crap to make it worth while, ( if making 1 cup, but I suggest you make enough for 4) ) don't boil the water just hot to the touch ( like tea ) place the tea bag in, 2 squishes of lemon, 1 of lime, grate the cinnamon ( a little not too much ) so to the nutmeg but leave that till last. Add the salt ( a wee bit, a grain or two max ) add water, 2 maybe 3 fingers, add the coffee bean.
Let settle for 2.354783339 seconds ( approx )
Drink,

Should be warm to the mouth ( again like a very warm cup of tea ) before you settle in the sofa and kick the kids.

Why ruin the drink by putting a tablet in it?

Just take whatever drug you want separately.

Disolve teaspoon brown sugar and honey in boiling water. Add cheap whiskey, ie Bells etc (actually taste better than a good single malt).

Microwave gently to bring temp back up, but not much as alcohol will evaporate. Finally add slice of lemon and lemon juice.

An old recipe my Highland Gran told me...

1 x sour - lemon or lime
2 x sweet - honey
4 x strong - any whisky or Brandy
8 x weak - hot water.

Any measure size will do....whatever takes your fancy.

Down that with a couple of paracetamol and you'll sleep rather soundly 😀

Alternatively:

Thumb sized piece of ginger, peeled and sliced.
Juice of 1 lemon
2 teaspoons of honey
Triple brandy hottened up in microwave
Add hot water to taste and infuse for at least 5 mins.

Can I recommend a cold toddy?

1 part cheap whisky, 1 part drambuie and lime juice to taste.

If the first one doesn't sort you out, try a second. Or a third. Just go easy when you try to tans up now.
