Yeah I've been enjoying it, will be watching the last one tomorrow. Claire Danes character is quite annoying but to be fair to Claire Danes, she is very good in it.

LOL! I hope they terminate that character as she is getting predictable in the story line ...

Because other channels are worst so I have to stick to Homeland for a while before switching to other channel ... like Family Guy or American Dad ...

Are you kidding? I have no fireplace in my flat ... so the TV is my fireplace, my background noise, my window, my radio ... etc ... ๐Ÿ˜† No, I am addicted to monitor screens ... two of them ... tv and pc ... arrghhh ... modern technology.

here we go again.....

if you haven't watched it yet, more fool you for clicking on a thread entitled Homeland (no spoilers in the title, that would be wrong) asnd then mingeing about people discussing the content of this week's episode of Homeland.

Personally, i thought series was good but a chuffing hate these 'let's drag it out to another series' endings.

What's wrong with a decent series with a beginning, a middle AND A PROPER ****ING NO LOOSE ENDS NO STRINGS ENDING!!!

I watched it and enjoyed it for the most part but as others have said it wasnt an ending, it was a prequel for the next series and I feel like im having the piss taken. I'll not watch any more.
Why cant they make a series, then make something different instead of wringing the neck of every idea they have.

FFS if you don't like it then go for a dump instead, or some other bathroom function.

It was a bottled ending, total washout. He should have either hit the trigger or died in a hail of bullets at the end.

funny, people used to complain that american stuff was too neatly tied up.
fwiw i don't think the Lost comparisons are fair, not least because the actors and writers involved actually seem to know their craft. YMMV.

Homeland is ok, but compared to the dramas coming out of the UK, it's outstanding.
Why isn't UK stuff any good these days?
Go on tell me there is something with realistic(ish) dialogue, interesting plots (without holes all over the place), decent acting... etc (don't give me the yawn-fest that is Silent Witness please).

Because the best British writers go to hollywood.

I can't think of a single british TV programme that I'd make time to watch ATM.
Reality TV killed good TV.

uk drama?

misfits is good (although now kelly on comunity service for real its days may be numbered)

the shadow line was very well done but its a rare thing,
especially when tedious soaps like downtown or silly things like spooks get all the plaudits

DezB - Luther is the best UK show of this ilk me thinks

I enjoyed Homeland. A few slow episodes in the middle, bit of a bottled ending but it provided some good Sunday night entertainment

Shadow Line was awful, I was really looking forward to it with all the hype (on here) but couldn't believe how poor the script and especially the acting was.

I enjoyed Luther, but anything decent is so few and far between. I await the next good US drama rather than hope for anything to come out of the UK. It's easier and cheaper for them to get the ratings through things like strictlyXcraptor/bigbrother/celebrityjungle etc etc.

One of the main reasons I liked The Wire so much.

They actually manage to use the same characters across different series, but still manage to finish off each one properly.

Luther's pretty good, but the plots are full of holes that Luther's "genius" has to fill. Good action though - the mad killer going on the rampage in the office for one.

Could do with a new series soon.
