my partner's setting up a cake making business from home in the near future
currently we're insured with M&S, which is great for bikes, but doesn't cover us for anything other than clerical work at home. they've said that the policy with them will have to be cancelled if we start the business
some of the home business policies i've seen have naff all cover for bikes. can anyone recommend a good insurer for this sort of thing? ideally i want the whole lot all in one policy
surely there's a policy that's designed especially for mountain bikers and pastry chefs!?!

I have been looking at this for myself. The best option I have found so far is NFU Mutual. Google them and have a chat to your local rep.
We've just been through all this, check my posting history. Last year we got reasonably prices cover from Axa through our broker, but htis year Axa will no longer deal with our broker so we're with groupama. Hiscox were very expensive and had a MASSIVE excess. NFU Mutual were slightly more expensive last year than Axa and wanted us to insure something else with them, think it might have been the car?
