Forgot my own update last week
Went to the barbers for a hair cut and shave. Normally the wife shears me but I fancied a bit of wirey beard advice. The whole experience including hot towel and cutthroat razor was wonderful, I felt very pampered. Unlike the diy experience which involves sitting on the kitchen floor in my underpants and being hoovered down half way through!
Oh and there was also the small highlight of the pride of north London returning home.
Highlight of my week...
My boss gave me a box of 8 ales yesterday.

Struggling... er the last episode of "Get Shorty".
But then it was the last episode 🙁
Dull week.
It's Friday?
There is one big highlight for me but I'm not allowed to talk about it until next year.
On a wider note, watching people tell the tory brexie gammons they lost shut up and get over it.
I'll be honest i never knew what the term Gammon meant. So I looked it up today.
Gammon is a pejorative term used in British political culture since around 2012, which received press coverage in 2018. In 2018 it became particularly known as a term to describe white people, especially those on the political right or who supported Brexit, who appear pink-faced when emotional.
Love it
My highlight of the week was my team crimbo lunch yesterday. During that our new boss dropped the bombshell that she's going to be going against company policy in the new year to have us all in the office(s) / not allowing home working. We're not even all based in the same bloody building if we do all sit at company desks to work.
Guess it's time to get the CV up to date. Bahbloodyhumbug.

Married, Knighted or sponsored?
Waiting for some exam results, they arrive today.

The 'other' pub in the area is having a pop up event in the bar. The pop up being the pub is serving beer. For one short evening only. Being done so investors in the village who bought shares in reopening the premises and stopping it being made into housing can see how the rebuild is going. The owners had initially planned to turn it into an Indian restaurant initially but they hadn't thought it through, were told to stop, but by then they had stripped out the kitchen and much of the interior. Luckily the local pressure group managed to have it declared a community asset and then had time to sort out a rescue plan.
So well done The Crown. (Not a Wetherspoons...)
