I've just converted a pair of ex army desert camo DPM overtrousers into 3/4s.
What's the best way to avoid them fraying at the newly created bottom of the leg?
Is fabric glue up to the job?
Do they in fact fray at all?

sew them with a 1" hem. Mine have been fine for nearly two winters like this.
The bottoms get wet through from splash/spray anyway so no need to put sealing tape over the stitching
