I have a couple of family members who have paid to sign up with this, now I believe its a scam. Has anyone had any experience with this ?

TL;DR is, you make money by selling the concept to your friends. Who only make money by selling it to their friends. Who are also probably your friends so have already said yes or no. Waaaait a minute....
