For the life of me, I don't know how it happened, or what I can do about it, but the problem is this:
I have two different university e-mail addresses/accounts, and both are Outlook based. At some point, it is as if one of the two accounts became 'dominant', and now whenever I try to log into 'University Account 1' (with completely different user names and password), it gets to an Outlook screen that says something like, 'For a better experience of Outlook, use this link', which I then click on, and find myself in my other university's Outlook. I am not given any other option.
So now it is as if I cannot log into 'University Account 1' at all. At the same time, I am pretty sure that the emails from that address have NOT been forwarded to 'University Account 2', as I still get emails for University 1's address through my iphone.
Any idea what gives? Any suggestions on how I can de-link the two accounts, and log into them entirely separately and collect emails and deal with two different calendars? Etc., etc.
Is this through a browser? Try using an Incognito tab, or clearing cookies.
I'd suggest the same, Incognito, or 'In Private' browsing.
I use it at work for a couple of shonky intranet/supplier sites that have regular cookie issues...I'm sure my use of it sets off a flashing red light and alarm bells at the corporate bunker where they monitor internet use... 😆
Hmm. Interesting. I just tried through a different browser than I normally use, and I was able to get into the account, although in a different way to what I normally would. This time, I was taken to a new Outlook 365 page, which then took me to a different 365 page that had a picture of University 1 on it.
In any case, I finally got in. I assume that at some point, both universities went to Outlook 365, and the first one I logged into became the one the computer remembered.
Whatever. I'm happy. Thanks scotroutes.
You're welcome!
In IE you need to use the 'open new session' under 'file',
