I have a LoveFilm account. Checked my rental list earlier and it's looking decidedly thin. Looked at the new films list and... it's decidedly thin. I think part of the problem is that LF's selection is relatively weak at the moment, and part of it is that I've never heard of half the films on there.

So. Can I have some recommendations for rental films please? Ideally stuff that's on the LF list, and Blu-ray preferred.

http://www.lovefilm.com/browse/film/

Thankingyoukindly.

Yeah, I know what you mean with Love Film at the moment...

I watched 'Cargo' (German sci-fi) streamed through the PS3 and was quite impressed; would happily watch again on BluRay.

Not new releases, but looking at stuff I have had off Lovefilm these were all a bit offbeat but very good.

Troll Hunter
Lebanon
I'm Still Here

Nonetheless, I appreciate your herculean efforts.

I really meant "recommend me a new-ish film" I suppose. I can browse the virtual bargain bin happily enough, I've a reasonable knowledge of older films; it's newer ones where I've taken my eye off the ball.

Just realised, I didn't say what I like either. Action / sci-fi / horror would be good, but TBH anything that's "good" I'll happily watch.

All good stuff, thank you. Keep 'em coming.

I'm all superheroed up ready for The Avengers, thanks (-:

Good point about Attack The Block - I have that right here from LF. So that's tonight sorted.

Agreed on Moon (and Source Code) - great films.

If you liked Source Code then recommendations from me would fail, I thought it was awful!
