I have a set of B&Q garden chairs. Several of the bolts have snapped. I need to replace them and have got them apart but I can't find a replacement on the Net, I am not sure what they are called.

Ideally I would like some better quality but they were snapping because both parts stick in the wood and when you collapse the chair the bolts get twisted. They are a shoulder bolt with a self tapping wood screw.

Cheers for any pointers.

Try a specialist fitting place like hafele or ironmongery direct. Another option is ikea, ours has a load of rummage boxes full of misc furniture fixings for 50p a bag

A specialist fastener supplier we use at work is Montrose Fasteners. They should be able to provide something similar. Send them the pic and give them a call

Hello, looking through my bedside screwfix catalogue it looks like a flangehead woodscrew. Only available in an M8 size ( does this sound right) if it were me i would go with a normal hex head corkscrew through as they will be easier to come by. Go on the web site and have a butchers.
