got a PAC code which i need to use in the next couple of days, otherwise i'll get charged another month on my old contract...

Eh? Just call up and cancel the old contract? Why wouldn't you port the number anyhow?
ok, long story...
i bought 2 contracts. one for me, and one for my then GF.
about a month ago i rang up to get the PAC codes. i transferred my number across, cancelling the contract. my now ex, had already got a new phone a month or two before, and didn't want her old number.
as asking for a PAC code doesn't equal the 30 days notice needed for the contract, i will still be charged for an extra month's bill.
using the PAC ends the contract, so my contract is finished. she didn't use the PAC, so hers isn't. when i found this out a couple of weeks ago, i gave the 30 days notice. this still means i have to pay an extra month. UNLESS someone uses the PAC...
