For some reason, 'Carry on Wayward Son' keeps playing in my head. I didn't especially like it when it was first out, and I don't especially like it now.
I'm now running through various Spotify playlists hoping to replace it, but the chorus attacks me in the brief silences between songs.
Good grief.
Don't worry there will be peace when you are done.
Search Spotify for an 80's rock ballad called "Africa". That'll fix ya.
We're not in Kansas anymore Toto....
Aghhhhhhhhh! me too now ..... mutter mutter .. don't you cry no more.... grumble!
Click your heels together and say "there's no place like home, there's no place like home "
Could be worse, could be Nelly The Elephant by Toy Dolls

chew gum, or pretend to
If you have trouble with a song getting stuck in your head persistently, just sit down and learn all the words and how to sing or play it. It'll stop.
They get stuck when they are unfinished in your head, kind of like ghosts.

All we are is dust in the wind"

Are you suggesting that there are more lyrics than 'Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Da da-da da da da da da-a-a-a'?!? 😯
I was told that the way to shift a song thats stuck in your head is to sing 'karma chameleon' as it shifts any song but doesn't replace it, and I have to say that despite initial scepticism it seems to work.
I tried other male, cross dressing singers, it worked a bit but I think it was just the placebo effect.

that's now stuck in my head
Toto played a free concert last summer in Morzine
Africa now features on our car CD playlist specially to wind each other up (again).
Do you think that this is more than a feeling?
My partner tends to hum or sing the last tune she heard. It can be bad. I've tried singing Deutschland uber alles to get her to sing that and stop herself . Doesn't work. Will give karma chameleon a go...
Percyp. I liked it 🙂
