I've managed to almost drill through two plastic central heating pipes. They had no foil tape so no indication that they were there. They heat up when the heating is on. They aren't leaking, but given the amount of damage I've done I suspect they will soon.
I've measured them with a vernier calliper - one is about 14.4 mm OD and the other is approx 12.7 mm OD - ½" I presume. I can't see any markings that say what make they are.
Does anyone know what brand/size they might be?
Thanks in advance

I'd patch them with self amalgamating tape as a temporary fix. You can buy all sorts of adaptive fixings for exactly this sort of thing. Water board repair teams use them all the time...
These things come in all sizes from a few mm to many cm...

That's our freshly decorated lounge, I put a nail through both pipes.
`A Photo would probably be helpful.
At a guess it is plastic coated 8 or 10mm copper and you have pierced the plastic sheathing an not the copper, otherwise you would have water coming out. Don't worry about piercing the plastic sheath if this is the case.
ETA;I just measured a bit of coated 10mm pipe, comes up as 14.6mm.

One way to confirm that, keep drilling and see if the resistance changes 😢
Sorry nothing helpful to add.
You could call a plumber, and it might be covered by your house insurance. When we bought our previous house, it had been a B&B, so I was removing sinks and plumbing from all the rooms (inc lounge, dining room) and replacing some floorboards. It was getting late the night before the carpet fitting so I said to my stepson to just fit the last board with a line of nails down the middle, completely forgetting that’s where the central heating pipe was. He was on the fourth nail before we realised.
Insurance covered the call out and repair, and we had to delay the carpet fitting until everything was dry, but not the worst outcome.
It's probably 15mm pex barrier pipe. You can easily repair with Jg push fit fittings but you'd need to drain the heating and refill. There's probably a drain cock on a downstairs radiator and combo boilers usually have two taps your can use to refill.
