I'm trying to get a couple of items for a charity ball, not expecting anything for free but maybe at a discount 🙂 which we can then auction with a reserve to cover costs....

Sorry, I can't help personally, but I reckon you might get a better reaction if you said what the charity was, how much of the money would go to the charity etc.

Charity is the NSPCC, all of the money raised, less the cost (assuming no one is able to donate something) would go to them.
I'm taking part in the Microsoft UK Challenge which each year raises a massive amount of money for the NSPCC, we're currently in 3rd place in the fundraising league and we're just trying to close the gap on the first two teams - I doubt we'll catch our collegues in Team 17 but it would be nice to make it a one two 🙂
