Following on from my kitchens query I have a question regarding a new boiler and a couple of other jobs.

Fit a new combi and vertical flue through the roof, the roof work is going to be done by the builder.
Upgrade gas supply to where old boiler was to run an all gas range
Remove old gas fire and cap off supply

By the time I have deducted the costs of the boiler and thermostat etc. it appears he wants about £1000 - £1200 for the labour. Seems very steep to me for what must only be 2 or 3 days work!

Just to be clear the boiler is being moved but not very far, it is getting moved from 1 side of a dividing wall to another.
