Yep, it's the worst I've ever had it this year, went to the docs and was prescribed fexofenadine which has helped and I also bought an air purifier for use at home and I've slept like a log since.

Yes, it's as bad as I have ever had it. Been doing a nasal irrigation with a saline solution to clean out my nose then using Beconase hayfever nasal spray. Doesn't stop it but it helps take away the worst of it.

Weirdly this year has been one of my best years with it. Apart from a couple of sneezing fits I’ve had no real symptoms. I’ve not had time open the bottle of eye drops. After 40 years I may actually be “outgrowing” it like my dad promised!!!

I’ve just moved to Scotland and my wife and I are suffering horrendously with it, not used to this Scottish pollen. We are both getting huge relief from a teaspoon of very local honey every day.

Tablets and nasal spray for me. Rubbing Haymax around my nostrils has helped too.

At my worst point I was doing 180mg prescription Fexofenadine plus steroid nasal spray in the morning, then Loratadine in the evening and that only just barely kept on top of it..! Still spend most of the day sneezing and blowing my nose.

Thankfully the main grass pollens have died down now so I've knocked the Fexofenadine down to 120mg, ditched the spray but kept the Loratadine.

So yeah, hayfever sucks.

I used to get hayfever really badly and tried everything. Its improved a lot since i moved abroad but for me i just kept everything really clean, hand and clothes washing, swimming or shower. Knowing and avoiding the type of pollen your allergy is to. The local pollen helps, i ate the honeycomb.

Horrible allergy, sympathies to all sufferers.

Daily cetrazine and a dose of becanase to keep on top of it, luckily for me the grass pollen has died back a bit and I'm suffering less now

felt like sheet this morning, took me an hour to crawl out of bed. Both my eye lids were sealed shut and my throat hurts. With a slightly raised temperature and aching limbs I,m beginning to doubt this is Hay fever. It can't possibly get this bad!

Smallest_OAB often has a bit of a sniffle/a day or two a year it is bad.

This year he is off the scale - we are sleeping windows closed and wearing sunnies all the time, he is downing drugs, eye drops and nose spray, still struggling...

It feels rough today. I'm doing OK with a Loratadine and a Cetirizine each morning, if I'm really struggling Acrivastine is very good too but I've not resorted to that this year...yet...

I have been really bad this past week, and it doesn't normally affect me at this time of year.

I saw a kind of interesting price recently (can't remember where) where they used footage of the giro, which is always held at the same time each year, to compare the crops and foliage in the background. There conclusion is that it changed quite a lot over the past 40 years.

In early March I thought I'd try the local honey remedy for hay fever (never tried it before). Since then I've been taking one teaspoon of raw local honey each day. Compared to previous years my symptoms have been pretty mild.

Conclusion: Local honey FTW.

Stopped using Claritin earlier this year as the side effects of dry eyes was making contact lens use very painful and causing very dry/sore eyes.

Trying to manage hayfever symptoms with saline nasal spray (Sterimar) and local honey. Not ideal but certainly better than the side effects caused by the over the counter drugs.

Sympathy to everyone who has to put up with this. It just knackers your ability to concentrate for any length of time I find.

Had it since primary school and (touch wood) this year I've had one bad day and very mild symptoms for the rest of the time. It is probably completely unrelated but since spring I have cut a lot of dairy from my diet and generally, coughs and sniffs have gone. Can't give up cheese but totally given up cows milk so I wonder if there is a link beyond the fact that cows milk increase mucus production.

Fenoxadine180mg every morning, Beconase nasal spray when needed. Preventative (pink) inhaler every night, and blue inhaler while out on the bike 😢 just about get me through at the moment!! Wouldn’t wish hay fever on my worst enemy!

I am on the steroid nasal spray, had been really, really bad this year, and either this is working, or its died down....

its only prescription, (Dymista) but don't let that put you off, just use one of the online consultants and 5 mins later youll have it approved and in the post for you.

Strange year this one. Started out and I didn't get the usual symptoms from mid May but got to the start of June and got it big stylle, flu like. Never had tap nose like it in my 40 years of suffering.

i stopped taking beconase 2 years ago because of the headache withdrawal symptoms. So I've stuck with 180 fexofenadine but this year have had terrible back ache that I've just looked into and in the US it's listed as a side effect. Stopped 2 days ago and it's gone!

also tried prevalin nose spray and apart from the initial pleasant hit that was crap.

So back to loratidine and that seems ok albeit the pollen should be clearing soon anyway.

injections for me next year, sod the potential side effects.
