[Closed] Haunted fax machine

Ok here's an odd one. The wife has a fax machine (a Brother) which is used very infrequently. Recently it has apparently been sending out a blank sheet message entirely uncommanded. We get a fax arriving saying 'please re-send' The odd thing is, the recipients have twice been medically based (wife is a doctor, but has had no dealings with those particular practices) and based in Scotland. So even though we have had absolutely no direct contact with the recipients it doesn't appear to be completely at random. Beats me.... anyone any ideas?
