1) I buy a handset to replace the knackered one I have already.
2) I cancel my contract with t-mobile.
3) I pay GiffGaff £12 per month for a contract that seems to do what I want.
4) ???

How do I transfer my phone number?
Do I need to change my SIM?
What else etc?

Please keep it as simple as you can, I am a senior IT/Business consultant so have no real understanding of technology or business. 😉

You request a new SIM card from the site (using a referral from someone - for example, me - so they get a couple of quid)

When it turns up you put it in your phone and activate it online.

At this point it will have a new phone number

Request PAC code from T-mobile

Bung that in the GiffGaff website and wait 24 hours for it to be transferred

Duane - I have googled it. That gives facts and opinions rather than advice and experience. STW is far more powerful than Google for real world questions. 😉

BiscuitPowered - Do you want to refer me and claim your free money? Are you riding tomorrow night?
