Spent this afternoon getting home ins quotes, using mostly comparison sites. Settled on AA as cover was good as was price, however after I submitted payment etc and bought the product I looked at the confirmation email and policy docs. My mortgagee interested party is wrong as is home security and to top it all off it appears I have paid in full for the whole policy but I selected monthly payments option????. In my defence all my details were correct on the comparison sites and was not prompted for further info at the buying stage.

No customer service available today. Tried cancelling the debit card payment at my bank but that can only be done by the retailer etc. Am I able to change the policy back to monthly tomorrow and the details without incurring charges?

Pretty certain there will be a cooling off period of several days. Should be quite clear in the online T&C's and probably in what has been emailed to you.
