Not sure if its groin strain or hip flexor strain (are they the same thing??) but its a constant minor dull ache. No sharp pain at all, just annoying.
T'internet says RICE as expected but i really dont want to stop moving about for weeks on end. Bike rides dont seem to make it any worse than just walking about? Im minded to just carry on and see what happens. Any experiences?

I think the advice for this type of thing is rarely complete immobility these days so if cycling feels ok, it probably is ok. Ianad
Just carry on but don't push through pain. That's what the physio said about my torn rotator cuff. Had to do the exercises upto the point where it started to be uncomfortable, then stop or reduce the range of movement.ย ย

Seriously though its in the crease between lower abdomen and thigh just before mid point at the front.ย
I'd definitely keep active on the bike if it doesn't spark it. Avoid high torque efforts whilst seated.
I have a long term groin issue on one side - initially worried me that a hernia was in the post, but it spurred me to start lifting again and that seems to keep it in check (for a few years now). There's a million exercises you can do for hip mobility that are worth exploring, some of them feel pretty good, but I found getting stronger was the best thing. Hopefully you have just a short term thing and it will get better for good.
