[#13534363]

We have a long standing colleague retiring in March, and I would like to set up a retirement collection.
I do not want to use PayPal, so I am wondering what you have used or would recommend that could be used?

I would like something safe/secure and reputable. That even could provide a receipt for proof of donation.

An envelope?

Something like a JustGiving page might work, but you'll almost certainly get more money by going desk-to-desk.  Probably considerably more.

Cash - who carries that these days? Or do you mean cheques? 🙂

In our case a team leader  collects cash in an envelope. But the  we still have a fax machine  as well.

What I should have said too is that we are all remote, and global, where bank transfers do not work (easily).

https://www.collectionpot.com/ is run by fellow outdoory / biker / paddler and general all-round good egg.

Have used it a few times.

Viing gets used a fair bit at my place...is dead easy to contribute but I've no idea how the collector gets the money to.buy stuff.

Cash, whilst not everyone readily carries it they will bring some in or nip out for some.

It depends what OP's workplace is like as to whether rhat will raise much money. There are several thousand kilometres between my desk and my teammate's desk. Also, they hate me, but that's perfectly understandable.
