I've just ground and made an espresso in a mocha pot which has turned into a cup of coffee - to watery - although if feels like rocket fuel.

Talk me through the basics of grinding if you would...

Well first you need a Grindr. From what I've read on here you need to speak to Jamie about that.

If you have a Gaggia espresso machine then the grind should give you a 25 to 30 seconds short at pressure bar 9 to 12.

Since you are using mocha pot perhaps you could tamp it a bit to make the coffee more compact but try not to tamp it too much or your mocha pot will explode. 😀

Try bumping a little as well. 🙂

Just experiment with different grind settings and tamp pressures until you start getting decent results. In your case try slightly finer with the same tamp.
