If I was going to get it be on a PS4 which as of yet I've not bought one, that said as I got bored of GT5 fairly quickly I may not bother.

GT5 did nothing for me so will probably be giving it a miss unless there have been some major improvements.

Just wasted a good portion of the weekend playing it 😆

Far superior to GT5, the cars are proper twitchy when the grip lets go. AI cars still do some strange moves but are much better than in previous games.

I can see me losing a fair amount of time to it over the new year when I get to the Endurance races 😈

Looks brilliant I must say. I was thinking I'd not bother even if/when I get a PS4 but the physics looks brilliant.

Is it still driveable with the controller rather than a wheel?

Perfectly controllable with the standard controller. Never got on with wheels, really hard to get the positioning correctly on my sofa 😕

I'm resisting the urge to get a PS4 as soon as, I have managed to blow up 3 PS3's since their launch so trying to wait a little while before getting one, this isn't helping.

I'm tempted by Drive Club.

Molgrips, first one was a drive failure after a firmware upgrade replaced under warranty, the replacement (another fat one) died about 2 years later, so a slim was bought that then had a YLoD and again replaced under warranty. I honestly can't remember what the fat one died of I'll dig it out and see and let you know. In a longer period of time I've only had 2 Xbox360's and neither failed so think I bucked the usual trend of the Red Ring of Death and transferred it to Sony Playstations instead hence the wait.

If it's not YLOD I'm interested. I've got one where the optical drive controller appears to have failed on the mobo. Works fine but the drive doesn't seem to have power.

Ta.

The fat ps3's were well known for not lasting very long. Although the Sony warranty was pretty good with most.

GT6 is very playable with the hand controller. The physics are brilliant, the new cars are brilliant, the new layout I didn't really like at first but now I'm used to it I do like it.

Also, at first I wasn't sure how much better it looked to GT5 then I played GT5 - it's a LOT better!

The career is also very different, lots of different events, lots of little events. Goodwood is pretty cool so far. I have a moon buggy too - it can jump a long way! lol

all in all, I'm really glad I went out to get it, it's brilliant. And there is loads more to come in the new year with DLC etc.

Online is, as always, a right good laugh too. Although I don't see the Top Gear track which was one of my favourite online haunts. I'm hoping it will be there at some point in the future...

What you don't have a dedicated driving seat?

The game is transformed with a wheel IMO.

I've never got Gran Turismo games, always found them very po-faced & boring. That & for a 'real' driving simulator when you hit the car into a wall you keep on going.

Big improvement on 5, can't explain why just feels better
Pre-ordered the anniverasry edition so got 25 cars and £1m credits, makes it much better when you can dive in and race with decent cars from the off rather than plodding round in a Honda Jazz for the first dozen races
The moonbuggy is a laugh, Goodwood is ace, the night races are also pretty impressive, some new tacks as well Spa and Silverstone are Bathurst is great
So far I've aced the first two licenses and won all the races upto National B level and working through National A now
Grand Theft has taken a back seat for a while

(Btw new need for speed game is only £19.99 on 12 days of Xmas deals on the store until midnight tonight)

I recently bought Grid 2 for the ps3, so think I'll wait for when I get a ps4.

GT5 gave me motion sickness for some reason, which GT4 and Grid have never done.
