I sleep approximately 7 hours a night
I'm at work 8 hours a day for 5 days of the week
I'm commuting for 1.5 hours for these days.

So that's 7x7 plus 5x8 plus 5x1.5 ... 96.5 hours a week when I'm not driking alcohol

That's well over 2 days, so I'm govt approved without even changing my drinking habits 🙂

Nice calculations, not quite sure that was what they were getting at though 😉

The Scandinavians have a saying/rule/philosophy for giving up things like alcohol.

1day/week
1week/month
1month/year
1year/decade
1decade/life (this can be taken as 0-10 years old though!)

I had one of my days off yesterday. Can I start drinking now?

I only drink at the weekend. That way I get a decent night's sleep when I have work and I don't feel pooh in the mornings. I find that not mixing alcohol and work is a winning solution.
