Whats a good site for searching for cheap and cheerful accommodation? Used to use Priceline but their site seems to be gubbed these days.
Who do you use?
EDIT. Should add we need to find something in the Blackburn/Rochdale area if anyone has any hot hints
www.laterooms.com - but doesn't generally have the really little independent places. Still some good deals though.
I would search Google and use Google Maps as they display the B&B/hotels based on location. Quite a few reviews attached to them too. You'd have to phone/email to book though as they won't have the online booking service which is so impersonal anyway.
I use Laterooms.com
They're pretty good for B&Bs - we got a good one in Whitby the other week although its often better to google the place once you've found it on Laterooms and phone direct.
