We will be staying near Stowting Common over Easter for a couple of days. Any recommendations for a pub with good food (Sunday lunch) maybe with somewhere to go for a walk afterwards?

Wye, wife of Bath. great location as you can wander up on to the downs for a walk, then head in to Wye for some really good food.

Depending how far you want to travel.

The Dering Arms in Pluckley is excellent.

Slowjo. There is a reasonable pub in stowting called the Tiger or about a mile or so further the black horse which I've been told is ok with new owners a bit further afield is the duck at pett bottom which is also receiving similar reviews.

If you've got your car handy, The Walnut Tree in Aldington is good, plus there was a really good Sunday lunch pub in Monks Horton, along the A20. If you fancy going into Folkestone and have a few quid spare, Rocksalt is very good.

Forgot about Tiger, not been there in years. Very good pub!

Spoiled for choice! How about I just do a Pub (lunch) Crawl? I'm sure I could persuade myself! 🙂
