looking to hire 2 x 4 berth campervans in scotland for a 2 week period.

any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Are we talking 4-berth very cosy/small like a Transporter or 4-berth proper coachbuilt motorhome?

Neither is going to be cheap.

There are quite a few places that do them where I stay, anywhere around Annan, Lockerbie and Gretna. Do a search, as there are so many. Probably a little bit cheaper than from the usual tourist hotspots.
