Do you know what brand/size he uses in the summer - This will help with the sizing.

I have some Callaway ones and some Footjoy ones, both very similar and both nice pairs of winter gloves.

There are two types of winter gloves though, the thinner pair that you play in, or thick ones that you tend to wear between shots.

I play golf though the winter and I use decathlon cycling gloves. If you think about it the requirements are very similar, they need to warm, grippy onto a handlebar / club, and leave you with enough dexterity to grab brakes, change gears, play shots.

The pair I wear have some sort of rubber patterned onto the palm which gives the grip. "Proper" golf gloves are all either too thin and therfore too cold, or as mentioned above they are big mittens for in-between shots

My old boy plays a lot of golf, in his opinion any winter golf gloves (of which there seems to be almost none) and shite, so he’s ended up with a pair of GripGrab gloves instead

I had a pair of The Masters Windstopper gloves which were good for the little golf I used them for and absolutely fantastic for commuting on the bike.

I’ve always used the footjoy ones which seem pretty decent.

thanks for the replies, very useful and ended up getting some footjoy  ones (sound like a weird fetish to me).
